The Story:
Writer/Director Michael Johnson was awarded the New Filmakers Grant from Panavision in the summer of 2009 for the production of the short film Save the Skeet. The film stars Joey Luthman who plays the character James Charm, a troubled 13 year old genius who is obsessed with death and may or may not be clairvoyant. Johnson is currently working on a full length feature script based off of the James Charm character. Save the Skeet plans to premier in 2010 in various festivals nationwide.
Private Practice “Sins of the Father” on ABC
November 20, 2009The recent episode of Joey Luthman as “Evan Dawson”on Private Practice Episode: “Sins of the Father” aired last night, Thursday November 19, 2009@10 PM on ABC.
Joey’s first appearance on Private Practice was in December of 2008 in the Episode: “Worlds Apart”, where he also played “Evan Dawson”, a diabetic 12 yr. old, reported kidnapped and living in a car with his father, running from an abusive boyfriend of his mother.
The reviews for the new episode have been GREAT.

It is a compelling story about Dr. Cooper (Paul Adelstein) and his comittment to helping a young boy who is being abused by a step father. The LA Court holds him in contempt and Charlotte (Kay Dee Strickland) is very upset when things go down hill from there. At the center of the conflict is “Evan Dawson”, a troubled young man, struggling with the break up of his parents and fighting the repercussions of Diabetes.
His loyalty to his father is strong and fear of his mother’s new choice, is clear. What is not clear, is the reason for his fear.
